3rd Global Mental Health Summit
The Third MGMH Summit was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 21–22 August 2013, in association with the World Congress for Asian Psychiatry (WCAP). The summit was comprised of four sessions. Information on the session topics and videos of the presentations are available below.

Global Burden of Disease and the Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan
The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study 2010 is a large-scale, systematic assessment of loss of health due to disease throughout the world. The Comprehensive Mental Health Action Plan was recently adopted by the World Health Assembly, recognising the role of mental health and mental illness prevention in achieving health and equity worldwide.Information and Videos
Inter-sectoral Partnerships, National and Regional Mental Health System Development Programs
This session looked at the collaboration between organisations and governments involved in providing mental health services, focussing on recent policies in Vietnam and other South-East Asian nations.
Mental Health and Human Rights
This session looked at the human rights violations of people with mental disorders. Case studies from Indonesia were presented. Recent efforts have decreased the human rights abuses suffered by people with mental disorders and have made strides to ensure adequate treatment is available to the most vulnerable.
MGMH and the Post-2015 Development Agenda
As the 2015 target date for the UN's Millennium Development Goals approaches, it is time to consider the post-2015 development agenda and build consensus on the role of mental health in the future of development. This session also discussed the future organisation of MGMH.
