The GCMH Research and Systems Development Approach
The Centre's approach to research and systems development is similar to its comprehensive approach to mental health systems as a whole.
Research conducted by Centre staff is focused on pragmatic systems reform using a collaborative approach with key partners. This approach applies to research conducted both in Australia and globally. Through shared assessment of local resources, capabilities and institutions, the Centre develops strategies and assists in the implementation of these strategies to enhance mental health systems, whether focusing on a single identified issue or on systems as a whole.
